Aetheric Sexual Extrusions
[Exclusive Print / Originally printed in 2018.]
by David S. Herrerías
Original Retail Prices: $70 CAD
“Aetheric Sexual Extrusions portrays the latent potency of erogenous zones when harnessed for spiritual development and magical purposes. Reading left to right, the inherent symbology begins with a Golden Vessel figurine. To the right of this Priapic figure, a startling image of a male reptilian entity confronts the viewer. Representing three distinct stages of metamorphosis, each initiating the next: the first phase illustrates male virility through the pronounced sexual organ of a Draconian beast; the second stage represents as yet, undeveloped Kundalini arising within this bestial form. The third and final phase culminates in a chaotic eruption of visual reflections of trance-induced states. A multi-dynamic phantasmagoria describes the ponderous flux of aetheric contemplation. Viewed in its entirety, the image expresses the purging of an atavistic renaissance.
The aesthetic of this piece results from my own visions during the practice of the Earthenware Virgin´s formula, used by Spare and inspired by one of the illustrations found in Payne Knight´s celebrated Discourse on the Worship of Priapus (London 1865).
*The original piece was painted on Amatl paper, handmade by the ancient Nahuas in Mexico and used mainly in rituals. Acrylics, sexual fluids and blood, were incorporated as mediums in this composition.”
26” X 14” - Printed on Satin Canvas with 2” canvas surplus around for potential framing.
Limited to 30 hand-numbered copies. Each accompanied by a hand-signed and sigilized card by the Artist and stamped with the Publisher's seal of authenticity.
