Cimaruta (Pendant without Chain)
Limited Edition (1): Cimaruta (Pendant without Chain)
By AzK Talismanic Jewelry
La Cimaruta (Tip of Rue, Ruta Graveolens) is an old folkloric Italian charm.
However, some authors make it a pendant worn by certain witch's hoods. The history of this talisman is complex and ancient. The key elements are the key, the (verbena) flower, the rooster, the moon, and the snake. But, to these symbols were added several others.
Thus the Cimaruta has become a complex pendant mixing paganism and folk Christianity, country witchcraft and village talismania. On the Cimaruta that I am offering you, I added and transformed an old Cimaruta from the 1800s. Now, in addition to the basic symbols, we find a cat, a dragon, a mushroom, a flaming heart, a figa, a crowned skull, a hand holding a wand, a cornucopia, an old lady carrying a basket, fruit, a fish, and a toad.
These symbols weaves powers and deep symbolism into the folklore of witchcraft and magic. Some authors connect the Cimaruta as a pendant linked to Diana and Hekate. More than an atropopaic charm, the Cimaruta is a sorcerer's tree of life containing mythological keys to power.
