Many years ago, I painted, during the nine night of Navaratri, an effigy of the Mother of the Night. Anathema Publishing subsequently published this ceremonial picture under the title The Mother of the Night. The goddess I see in this shape is a synchretic vision of Lilith, Kali, Medusa, Hekate, and Shekmet. She is the Goddess of the Night, the demon destroyer, and the mother of monsters. This painting was used to create this pendant, which honors her by being carved from antler.
